This Free One Hour Webinar will explain in detail how Online Training works and how it can benefit you and your dog. A lot of in-person training opportunities have been shut down because of the pandemic. Online training lets you train from comfort of your own home and in safety. The Webinar will cover how incredible the dog's nose is, what K9 Scent Work is, how to get into the sport of K9 Scent Work, what an online class looks like, what it takes to get involved in online training both in terms of material and time commitment and how to signup for a class. The Webinar is Free.

Steve Bettcher is an approved Scent Work Trainer at The San Lorenzo Dog Training Club in San Leandro. This online Handler Discrimination class will prepare students to compete in the AKC Scent Work Novice Handler Discrimination Division.
Sign-ups are now being accepted for this 7 week Online Course. Dogs should have completed Novice Handler Discrimination or have competed in AKC Novice Handler Discrimination. The class is $175.
Handler Discrimination is an AKC Scent Work Division where the dog must find the handler's scent using one or more scent articles such as a glove, cotton ball or cotton swab. In this Canine Scent Work event the dog needs to find the handler's scent , discriminating it from the judge's scent and indicate to the handler that he/she has found it.
This class will prepare students to compete at Advanced, Excellent and Master Handler Discrimination Trials.
